Plain-language privacy.

• Digest signup data — your email address plus your region, format and pricing preferences, so we can tailor the Sunday digest.
• Account data — if you sign up with email and password we store your email and a hashed password; if you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and avatar from Google.
• Event and app submissions you send us through the submission forms, plus any approval tokens generated for reviewers to moderate them.
• Email delivery logs — records of sends, bounces and unsubscribes so we can keep the digest and transactional email healthy.
• Aggregate usage stats via Umami — a cookieless, privacy-first analytics tool that does not use cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect personal data.

To send you the weekly digest, run your account, review event and app submissions, keep email delivery healthy, and understand which pages people find useful so we can improve the site. We don't profile you and we don't sell your data.

• Our hosting and database provider — where your account, preferences and submissions live.
• Our email provider — used only to deliver the Sunday digest, account emails, and other transactional messages (e.g. password reset, confirmation of an event submission).
• Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google (we receive your basic profile and email).
• Umami analytics — cookieless page-view stats. No personal data, no cross-site tracking.

Some outbound links on BuiltWithLove — for example links to hosting providers or to sign up for Lovable — are affiliate links. If you click one and later sign up or buy something, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Clicking an affiliate link takes you to a third-party site whose own cookies, tracking and privacy policies apply.

We may introduce display advertising in the future to help keep the site free. If and when we do, ad partners will only load after you give explicit consent via the cookie banner. You can change your mind anytime through the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.

• Session cookie — essential. Keeps you signed in after you log in.
• Consent preference — essential. Stored in your browser's localStorage so we can remember your cookie choices.
• Umami analytics — cookieless. No consent is required because no cookies are set and no personal data is collected.
• Advertising cookies — not currently used. If added later, they will only load with your explicit opt-in consent.

Legal bases we rely on: your consent (digest subscription, any future advertising), performance of a contract (running your account), and our legitimate interest in operating the site (aggregate analytics, service and transactional emails, fraud and abuse prevention).

Your rights: access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction of processing, objection to processing, withdrawal of consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing), and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

Retention: digest data is kept until you unsubscribe; account data until you ask us to delete your account; email delivery logs for a maximum of 12 months.

International transfers: our infrastructure and processors may store or process data outside the EU/UK. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the standard contractual safeguards our providers put in place (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses).

If you are in Brazil, the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Lei nº 13.709/2018) applies to our processing of your personal data. Under Article 18 you have the right to:

• Access to that data.
• Correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data.
• Anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary or excessive data, or data processed in non-compliance with the LGPD.
• Portability of your data to another provider.
• Deletion of personal data processed with your consent.
• Information about the public and private entities with which we have shared your data.
• Information about the possibility of not providing consent and the consequences of refusing it.
• Revocation of consent at any time.
